What's For Lunch?

Directions: We can use different properties of matter (color, size, texture, and hardness) to help us describe different items. Print and complete the worksheet "Properties of the Classroom" (click link). After the worksheet has been completed, get the teacher's signature on your "Action Plan" sheet.

Then, print and complete the worksheet "What's for Lunch?" (click link). After the worksheet has been completed, get the teacher's signature on your "Action Plan" sheet. As you complete "What's for Lunch?" think about these questions:

  • How can we describe different objects?
  • What does "texture" mean?
  • What does "hardness" mean?
  • What are the properties of different objects in the room?
  • How can you describe the items you will pack for lunch?

If you chose to complete this activity, then choose and complete one more optional individual activity.
